Late Wednesday, BYU football got yet another 2018 commitment in offensive lineman Tysen Lewis, a Utah local from Weber High School.
Lewis is listed as 6’5” and 255 pounds on his Hudl bio, but has since bulked up past that listed weight. As a junior, he was named to the All-Region 1 team in Utah’s 5-A classification and was 2nd team All-Area by the Ogden Standard-Examiner.
Lewis also held an offer from Utah State, and his recruitment from D-I programs was picking up steam at the time of his commitment.
He participated in a camp at BYU and left with an offer, according to a story from the Standard-Examiner — which says when he announced his offer, BYU OL coach Mike Empey texted him to ask if that could be taken as a commitment.
