BYU Football holds on late to beat Liberty

It wasn’t pretty and got dicey late, but BYU held on to beat Liberty 31-24 Saturday night at Lavell Edwards Stadium.

QB Gunner Romney once again played a solid game, throwing for 262 yards and 3 TDs, and the rest of the offense did a good enough job to outscore Liberty. The Flames lived up to their billing as a high flying passing attack, with Stephen “Buckshot” Calvert throwing for 303 yards. WR Antonio Gandy-Golden showed why he was one of the most prolific receivers in the nation coming in, as he carved up with 162 yards on 10 catches and 1 touchdown.
