BYU football got it done through the air despite LJ Martin injury

BYU’s load-bearing running back LJ Martin was hurt early in the Cougars’ game against Iowa State. Martin was the fifth in rushing yards in the nation, and his presence was missed. It put pressure on the true freshman Bear Bachmeier, and he answered the call. Bachmeier had a career-high 307 yards passing and led BYU back to a 41-27 come-from-behind victory.

Bear will get the lion’s share of the credit, and rightly so, but he couldn’t have done it without the best wide receiver tandem in the Big 12, and one of the best in all of college football.
