An anemic offensive showing doomed BYU once again, as the Cougars fell to Boise State, 24-7. After converting a turnover into a touchdown on their first offensive possession, BYU failed to score the rest of the game. BYU put up 238 yards of total offense, with 172 yards through the air and 66 on the ground.
Lots of blame is sure to go around for the Cougars’ 1-5 start. The team is lacking talent in many areas, and many of the best players are freshmen; e.g., Ula Tolutau, Matt Bushman, Khyris Tonga.
Playing calling has been questionable at times, and execution has been lacking when players have been open.
