BYU football: Aaron Roderick, Fesi Sitake, Ryan Pugh named as offensive assistant coaches

Ravell Call, Deseret News

PROVO — Jeff Grimes offensive coaching staff at BYU came into greater shape on Wednesday as the school announced a trio of additions to the coaching staff.

Former Utah assistant Aaron Roderick will be the passing game coordinator, while former Weber State assistant Fesi Sitake and Ryan Pugh will be assistants on Grimes staff.

Grimes was named the Cougars new offensive coordinator two weeks ago, replacing Ty Detmer.

Current assistant Steve Clark, who has coached tight ends the past two years, will be retained on the staff, which means Ty Detmer, Mike Empey, Reno Mahe and Ben Cahoon will not be retained by Grimes.
