After a 11-1 season capped off with a blowout bowl win over over UCF, BYU finished ranked number 11 in the final AP Top 25 poll. This is BYU’s first top 25 finish in the AP poll since 2009 when BYU finished #12 and highest ranked finish since BYU finish #5 after the 1996 season. BYU was #14 in the previous poll and passed Indiana, Florida and Coastal Carolina, but the Cougars were leap frogged by Northwestern to prevent a top 10 finish..
BYU started the season unranked, but entered the second poll of the season at #21 and have been ranked ever since.
