Provo • Junior forward Yoeli Childs eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier in his BYU basketball career and notched his fourth-straight double-double as the Cougars cruised past Oral Roberts 85-65 at the Marriott Center on Thursday night.
Childs finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds and Jahshire Hardnett added 16 as the Cougars improved to 3-1 with their third-straight win. Oral Roberts fell to 1-4.
TJ Haws chipped in eight points, a career-high eight rebounds and six assists for BYU.
BYU’s bench scored 19 points in the first half, and the Cougars took a 43-31 lead at the break.
