After going up 14 points in the second half, BYU faltered late as they lost at home to San Francisco, 77-71.
BYU took a 63-49 lead with under eight minutes to go, but made only one field goal the rest of the way to go along with 5 turnovers from the 7:47 to the 4:12 mark as the Dons ended the game on a 28-8 run. ESPN had BYU’s win probability at 97.8% after the TJ Haws three put the Cougars up 14.
The defense wasn’t any better, as San Francisco shot 8-9 from the floor in the final eight minutes and took care of the call.
