A season high 29 points from Elijah Bryant was not enough for the BYU Cougars (13-4, 2-2), who suffered a 67-66 loss against the Pacific Tigers (7-10, 2-2) at the Spanos Center in Stockton, California on Saturday night. Yoeli Childs managed to score 13 points (12 in the second half), but T.J. Haws once again struggled on offense, finishing with just 7 points on 3/10 shooting. The Pacific guards had no issues driving past the BYU defenders into the lane for most of the game, led by Jahlil Tripp’s 22 points on 8/13 shooting (7/9 from inside the arc).
