The end of the incredible career of Dave Rose has come to a screeching halt. After the Cougars worst regular season performance since taking over the program in 2005 Rose is hanging up the coaching suit to pursue other things. Rose is the second winning coach in BYU history with 348 wins to 135 losses only behind Stan Watts who boasts 371 wins. However, Rose had to vacate 47 wins due to NCAA sanctions in the Nick Emery case. Had Rose not lost those 47 he would have finished number 1. Rose would most likely be awarded with the mantle of GOAT as far as BYU coaches are concerned due to his consistent quiet dominance as I call it.
