SALT LAKE CITY — New coach Mark Pope has added another commitment in his short time as coach.
Lehi High and Utah State Eastern product Blaze Nield announced Monday on Twitter he has committed to the BYU men’s basketball program.
“After a lifelong journey, today I have decided to commit to Brigham Young University and join the Cougar Nation!! #RiseandShout,” he wrote on Twitter.
The 6-foot-1 Nield played his freshman season at Utah State Eastern last year after serving a two-year mission to Washington, D.C. for The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints.
