BYU basketball: Imminent knee surgery will end senior Kyle Davis' college career

It appears that center Corbin Kaufusi is returning at the right time for the BYU basketball team.

Coach Dave Rose announced on his radio show Tuesday night that forward Kyle Davis will have season-ending knee surgery soon, thereby ending the senior's season, and career.

The 6-foot-10 Kaufusi re-joined the basketball team on Monday after spending the past six months with the football team.

Davis, a 6-8 product of Alta High who played collegiately at Southern Utah and Utah State before transferring to BYU, played in 10 games this season. He suffered the knee injury in the 114-101 loss to Utah Valley, then sat out of the Utah State game on Nov.
