PROVO — Sophomore forward Payton Dastrup had a career-high 14 points and BYU turned a close game early into a blowout, beating Idaho State 85-71 on Thursday at the Marriott Center.
Dastrup shot a perfect 5 of 5 from the field and hit two 3-pointers while adding four rebounds and an assist. Yoeli Childs led BYU (10-2) with 20 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks and in the Cougars' seventh straight win.
