Dave Rose officially announced Wednesday afternoon that big men Braiden Shaw and Ryan Andrus will miss the remainder of the season due to injuries.
Shaw has been battling ankle injuries throughout the year, with his lone appearance coming in late December versus Portland; Shaw played one minute in the game. The press release states that Shaw has had two ankle sprains on the same ankle and will have ankle surgery “later this week.” The junior forward will almost certainly receive a medical redshirt if he chooses to pursue one.
Andrus has had knee troubles that have kept him off the floor since returning home this spring from his LDS mission.
