BYU Basketball beat the St. John’s Red Storm 74-68 Wednesday afternoon in the second game of the Roman Legends Classic, improving to 4-1 on the season.
St John’s went on a 9-0 run, only for the Cougars to respond with a 9-0 run of their own putting them up 18-12 at 9:31 in the half. BYU shot much better in the first half, although still only shot 36.4 percent from the field and 25 percent from three. Alex Barcello led all scorers in the half with 12. Matt Haarms had three first half blocks, bringing his season tally to seven.
