The BYU and Utah football teams jointly announced Monday evening that there are some changes coming to their future scheduled games. The programs were contracted to play each season until 2024, but will now play each other through 2028, with a two-year break coming in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. This is reportedly so Utah can play an SEC opponent — Multiple sources are reporting it’s the Florida Gators.
“We have a responsibility to take care of the future of this great rivalry, not just in football but across all of the sports. There may come a time in the future where we need to ask Utah to make an adjustment for us.
