Bees snap five-game losing streak vs. River Cats

The Salt Lake Bees used the long ball to snap a five game losing streak in a 9–4 win over the Sacramento River Cats on Thursday night in Sacramento.

After Luis Rengifo reached on an error and Matt Thaiss singled, Taylor Ward drove a 1–1 pitch over the 380 foot mark in right center to give Salt Lake a 3–0 lead.

It was 3–1 when the Bees added three more runs in the sixth. Nolan Fontana walked, was sacrificed to second by Francisco Arcia and scored on a single to center by Ben Revere. One out later, Revere came home on a two run homer by Matt Thaiss.
