SAN DIEGO — BYU fell behind early and couldn't get its offense on track, falling to San Diego 75-62 at Jenny Craig Pavilion on Saturday.

Turning point: BYU, which trailed by double digits during much of the game, had used a 9-0 run to cut San Diego's lead to 61-56. But Yoeli Childs picked up his fifth foul with 3:57 to play on a 3-point attempt and Tyler Williams hit all three free throws to make it an eight-point game.
