STOCKTON, Calif. — BYU dropped a tight West Coast Conference game on the road Saturday, falling to Pacific 67-66 at Alex G. Spanos Center.
The turning point: The Cougars had a chance to win down 67-66 after the Tigers missed two free throws with 14 seconds left. Jahshire Hardnett missed a layup with three seconds remaining, then Pacific's Kendall Small rebounded the miss but had to throw the ball back toward the hoop as he fell out of bounds.
