BYU had a rough night on Friday, but on Sunday, their week just got a bit worse.
2018 OL recruit Jaren Kump, one of the higher rated prospects in this recruiting class, announced that he would be flipping, and committing to Utah instead.
Kump, a 6-6, 261 pound lineman, was the 11th ranked recruit in the state of Utah, the 49th ranked OT in the country, and the 604th ranked recruit nationally, per the 247 Sports Composite. A mid three-star prospect, Kump was the third highest rated recruit in BYU’s class. Kump also had interest from several other Pac-12 programs, like Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Cal, UCLA and USC.
