2017 NFL Draft: BYU OL Andrew Eide signs UDFA deal with San Francisco

BYU offensive lineman Andrew Eide has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

The Orem, Utah native transferred to BYU as a graduate transfer from Southern Utah, where he played defensive line before switching to offensive line.

In his lone season at BYU, Eide started all 13 games at left tackle in a season where BYU averaged more than 200 rushing yards per game.

Eide tracks to play guard in the NFL. After his pro day workout in Provo, several scouts asked him to execute snaps as a center, and that may be how he finds his way onto a 53-man roster.
