13-year-old autistic boy is missing; police ask for help locating him

Draper Police are asking for the public's help to locate a 13-year-old boy who walked away from the Salt Lake County Juvenile Receiving Center.

Benjamin Heber was last seen Monday at about 8 p.m., walking east from the crisis center at 177 Price Ave., South Salt Lake. According to police, the boy has been diagnosed with autism, depression and anxiety.

Heber is described as white, male, 5-feet-8, 250 pounds with brown hair, green eyes and glasses. He has two triangle tattoos on his left hand, and is believed to be wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Anyone with information about Heber is asked to call 911 or 801-840-4000.
