10th-ranked BYU Women’s Soccer knocks off 12th-ranked Texas A&M

10th-ranked BYU women’s soccer maintained its perfect record at South Field on Thursday evening in Provo, defeating 12th-ranked Texas A&M 2-0 in a Top 15 clash.

The Cougars thoroughly dominated the Aggies from the start, and only allowed one Aggie shot the entire first half. The Cougars fired off several shots in the first 20 minutes, and then finally found the breakthrough goal in the 34th minute. Josie Guinn took the ball into the 18 yard box and found Elise Flake, who turned and shot the ball towards goal. A friendly deflection took the ball past Aggie goalkeeper Shantel Hutton to put the Cougars up 1-0.
