Ninth-ranked Providence will try to stay in first place by beating Butler in Sunday’s 1 p.m. tipoff at Hinkle.
Because of cancellations, the Friars are 11-2 in the conference and will finish with 17 games, not the scheduled 20. After Butler, they have home games next week against Xavier and Creighton before closing March 1 at No. 10 Villanova.
