The Bulldogs travel to Villanova for a weekend series with large BIG EAST implications. The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday (noon first pitch) in addition to a single game Sunday at 11 a.m.
All eight BIG EAST teams have three-game weekend series scheduled for this weekend and the weekend of May 7-8. The Bulldogs finish the BIG EAST slate at Georgetown that weekend.
Butler got solid performances in the circle over the weekend as sophomore Mikeila Boroff picked up a pair of wins. She tossed 6.2 innings in Saturday's 3-0 win before relieving starter Kristin Gutierrez in the top of the ninth Sunday and pitching a scoreless frame to pick up the win.
