How can you be national Player of the Week in college basketball and not Player of the Week in your own conference?
When you have the kind of week the Butler Bulldogs did.
Roosevelt Jones was selected national Player of the Week by CBS Sports on Monday. He had the Bulldogs’ first triple-double in 32 years, collecting 10 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in an 89-56 victory at St. John’s on Saturday.
It was the 15th triple-double in history in a game between two Big East teams.
Jones also had 19 points, six rebounds and five assists in an 87-76 home victory over Georgetown on Tuesday.
