Look at home states of half the Bulldogs’ 10 active scholarship basketball players: Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky.
The South is football country. You want basketball, you go to Indiana.
“Indiana is rich in basketball history, and so is Butler,” said guard Avery Woodson, a fifth-year transfer from Waynesville, Miss. “That’s intriguing, especially coming from an area that’s not really big on basketball but more on football.
