INDIANAPOLIS – Three backcourt newcomers debuted impressively Saturday for Butler.
Kethan Savage scored 16 points, Avery Woodson 14 and Kamar Baldwin 13 as the Bulldogs shot 62 percent in rolling over Wabash 100-53 in a college basketball exhibition at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Woodson (Memphis) and Savage (George Washington) are transfers. Baldwin is a freshman from Winder, Ga. Their collective 43 points came close to matching the Little Giants’ total.
In the second half, the Bulldogs shot 66.7 percent and outscored Wabash 52-24. No Butler player logged more than 20 minutes.
