NCAA men's soccer: Butler hopes to keep pulling off surprises in Sweet 16 vs. top-ranked Wake Forest

INDIANAPOLIS – Sunday, Butler's men's soccer team will play in the NCAA tournament's third round for just the third time in program history, and first since 1998.

But a week ago, it looked like Butler only had 45 minutes left in its season. On the road and trailing No. 16 seed VCU 1-0 at halftime in the tournament's second round, the unseeded Bulldogs’ hopes hinged on a comeback.

My how things can change over a 5-minute span.

In the blink of an eye, the Bulldogs turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 advantage.

Butler left wingback Alex Lehtinen headed home a service from center back Joe Moulden in the 54th minute to equalize, then Lewis Suddick buried a pass from fellow sophomore midfielder Isaac Galliford in the 58th to go on top.
