INDIANAPOLIS – Mike Pegues, most recently interim head coach at Louisville, is joining the basketball staff of Butler coach Thad Matta, sources told IndyStar.
The news was first reported Monday night by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Coincidentally, Matta is a former head coach at Xavier and Pegues a former assistant there, although they were not on staff together. Previously joining Matta’s staff was Davidson assistant Kevin Kuwik, who has been on staffs at Butler and Ohio State.
