INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler baseball team defeated Georgetown on Friday afternoon by the final score of 3-2. Nine innings wouldn't be enough for these conference rivals as the two clubs battled through 13 innings to determine a winner. In the end, Butler would find a way to win the game with a walk-off single to the right centerfield gap off the bat of Chris Marras.
The 13th inning started to take shape when Drew Small reached first base with a one-out walk. The speedy Small would then take off for second base on a pitch that would strike Tyler Houston and send him down to first base.
