Kamar Baldwin goes from zero to hero in second half as Butler pulls away from Creighton

INDIANAPOLIS – Sore ankle? What sore ankle?

Kamar Baldwin, who was questionable beforehand because of injury, scored all of his 20 points in the second half to lead No. 10 Butler past Creighton 71-57 in Big East basketball before a Hinkle Fieldhouse sellout of 9,129 Saturday.

The Bulldogs (14-1) are 2-0 in the Big East for only the second time in seven years of league membership. They were 2-0 two years ago after upsetting No. 1 Villanova at Hinkle.

Only three times in history have the Bulldogs started better than 14-1: 19-1 in 2009, 16-1 in 2008 and 15-1 in 2003.
