Jerald Butler bolsters Bulldogs 2017 recruiting class

The Butler Bulldogs picked up their second 2017 commit Friday morning as Jerald Butler, a point guard from Calvary Christian Academy (Fla.), made a verbal commitment to the Bulldogs.

Butler visited the Bulldogs Saturday – the only official visit he took. He also had offers from Virginia Tech, Chattanooga and Vanderbilt, among others.

The 6-4, 210-pound guard spent the first three seasons of his prep career at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale. He will finish his high school career at Calvary Christian Academy. He averaged 16 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as a junior.

Butler joins Cloverdale’s Cooper Neese as a member of the Bulldogs’ 2017 recruiting class.
