INDIANAPOLIS – LaVall Jordan thought his dream of becoming Butler’s men's basketball coach might come true four summers ago. He interviewed for the job that went to Brandon Miller, a former teammate.
If there is lingering resentment, there was no evidence of it before or after a Hinkle Fieldhouse news conference Wednesday in which Jordan was introduced.
“A Butler guy got the job, and a close friend,” Jordan said of Miller. “I think that’s what everyone’s hope is.”
Miller coached the Bulldogs’ first Big East season, took medical leave and never returned.
