Insider: Newcomers impress in Butler's exhibition opener

INDIANAPOLIS — As cliché as the Butler Way might sound, three of its components could be tested this college basketball season: unity, humility and servanthood.

Among Saturday’s takeaways from the Bulldogs’ 100-53 exhibition victory against Wabash is that they have four capable guards for two starting positions.

Newcomers Kethan Savage (16 points), Avery Woodson (14) and Kamar Baldwin (13) collectively scored nearly as many points as Wabash. Those three shot 75 percent (15-of-20) in doing so. Returning point guard Tyler Lewis collected six assists in 15 minutes.
