INDIANAPOLIS – Nothing ends a decline like seeing the basketball to through the net.
No. 25 Butler shot 58 percent and sank 13 3-pointers, setting a school record for points in a Big East basketball game and beat St. John’s 110-86 Wednesday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Butler (20-6, 9-5) led by as many as 22 points and achieved an 11th 20-win season in 12 years. The Bulldogs, who had lost three of four, took over sole possession of second place in the Big East.
Avery Woodson and Andrew Chrabascz scored 20 points each for the Bulldogs.
