INDIANAPOLIS — So much for the Big East lead, Top 10 ranking, four-game winning streak and 14-game home winning streak.
The 11th-ranked Butler Bulldogs’ 85-81 loss to Georgetown underscores why they are not as stout as their resume suggests.
No question that college basketball resume is spectacular: 18-4 record, No. 6 in Ratings Percentage Index, nation-leading 14 wins against RPI Top 100, victories over leaders of five leagues (Big East, Pac-12, American, Patriot, America East).
But Saturday night’s loss at Hinkle Fieldhouse demonstrated how vulnerable the Bulldogs really are.
