TERRE HAUTE – Indiana State defeated Butler on Saturday afternoon by the final score of 7-2. The Sycamores scored two runs in the first, third and seventh innings while adding a solo score in the bottom of the fifth.
Michael Hartnagel led Butler from the plate with a 4-for-5 performance. The Bulldogs recorded 12 hits overall, two more than the home team.
Indiana State jumped out on top with a pair of RBI doubles from Hunter Owen and Kaden Moore. Owen would return to the plate in the third to record a sac fly and the ISU lead would grow to 4-0 after Andy Young scored on a passed ball.
