How NBA draft decisions affect Big East basketball for 2018-19 season

INDIANAPOLIS – The Big East is starting over.

Not as it did in 2012, when the Catholic 7 broke away and formed a new conference. But now that the deadline has passed for early entry into the NBA draft pool, the Big East has been drained of talent.

Of 13 players receiving all-conference votes, 11 are gone. Those 11 do not include two others leaving early: Villanova’s Donte DiVincenzo, sixth man of the year, and Omari Spellman, freshman of the year.
