INDIANAPOLIS – The 13th-ranked Butler Bulldogs weren’t always impenetrable on defense Wednesday night. But who can subdue that offense?
Andrew Chrabascz scored 28 points, and the Bulldogs shot 57 percent in beating Vermont 81-69 in college basketball before a crowd of 7,898 at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The outcome extended Butler’s winning streak to 35 in nonconference home games.
It was the 100th coaching victory for Chris Holtmann, who is 100-77 in three seasons at Gardner-Webb and two-plus at Butler.
The Bulldogs completed their pre-conference schedule with an 11-1 record ahead of the Big East opener Dec.
