Ho-hum, another Butler first-round NCAA tourney win

RALEIGH, N.C. – Back and forth went Butler and Texas Tech. The Bulldogs were up by two, then the Red Raiders by two. For 12 minutes of the second half, the teams were never separated by more than three points.

Finally, the lead changed for the 13th – and last – time.

Kelan Martin waited more than 31 minutes to score a point Thursday, then made his point. He hit one 3-pointer, then another. He stole the ball and dribbled to the rim and dunked.

All it took was 51 seconds. In a 40-minute game, the outcome was decided in less than a minute.
