Gordon Hayward is apparently eager to start the rehabilitation process.
Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens reportedly asked Hayward if he needed anything after undergoing surgery on his fractured tibia and dislocated ankle, according to a tweet by ESPN's Celtics reporter Chris Forsberg.
Stevens asked for one thing: a basketball. And, according to Forsberg, Stevens' wife delivered.
Ball is life for Hayward.
It seems both of the former Butler Bulldogs want to keep up Hayward's shooting form while in the hospital room. Stevens called former Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel after Hayward's injury to get insight into how Vogel handled Paul George after his gruesome leg injury in 2014, according to NESN's Joshua Schrock.
