Fingers point toward IU basketball for demise of Crossroads Classic

It's all IU's fault.

That's the prevailing sentiment with the news that the coming season's Crossroads Classic is likely to be the last.

Purdue athletic director Mike Bobinski told Mike Carmin of the Lafayette Journal & Courier as much: " ... A couple of the participants chose to opt-out and it’s no secret who those are — South Bend and Bloomington don’t want to continue the event. They have their reasons. I don’t necessarily agree with them but that’s their decisions.”

Osterman:Crossroads Classic was a good idea, but it became more risk than reward for IU

IU, Notre Dame and Butler didn't have an immediate response to the report.
