OMAHA – The Butler baseball team took a tough 2-1 loss at Creighton on Friday night. Each team pushed their first run of the game across home plate in the fourth inning, but the Bluejays were able to add one more in the fifth to earn the win.

Three of Creighton's six hits on the day went for extra bases. Ryan Fitzgerald, Reagan Fowler and Keith Oren all recorded doubles in the first game of the three-game series. Fitzgerald and Fowler would also be credited with RBI's while Oren went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate.

Chris Marras and Jordan Lucio were the top performers for Butler along with the one-two punch of Bobby Napoleon and Danny Pobereyko.
