Senior Riley Carter's fourth hit of the day was the game-winner as her drive to right center scored pinch-runner Katelyn Cahill for a 2-1 Butler win in nine innings Sunday in Indianapolis. The Bulldogs take two of three in the weekend series and improve to 25-20 overall and 8-6 in BIG EAST play. Creighton is now 25-17 (7-6).
In the ninth, Chelsea Norwood led off the inning with a single up the middle and Cahill came in as a pinch runner. After a failed sacrifice bunt and a strikeout, Carter came to the plate and lined a 1-2 pitch deep in the right-center gap.
