The Butler women's golf team travels to Callawassie Island Golf Club in South Carolina for the 2016 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship this weekend. The Championship begins Friday and is comprised of 54 holes over the three days. Butler will practice at the course Thursday.
The group that coach Bill Mattingly will send off the first tee has had an impressive season thus far.
According to Golfstat, Butler will be the third seed going into the tournament behind top-seeded Georgetown and Xavier.
Friday's threesomes will be determined by team and player seedings while Saturday's and Sunday's groupings are assembled from the previous day's leaderboard.
