PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The Butler baseball team defeated an ACC opponent for the first time in 20 years on Monday afternoon by recording a 12-10 victory over the Boston College Eagles. Butler scored five runs in the second inning and exploded for seven more runs in the fourth to come out on top.
The second inning got off to a rocky start as BC grabbed an early lead with four runs off five hits in the top half of the frame. Butler would fight back to record seven hits that resulted in five runs to take the slim lead.
