Saturday's game between Butler and Georgetown has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. The teams will attempt to play a doubleheader Sunday in the nation's capital with the first pitch scheduled for noon.
Entering weekend action, the Bulldogs are tied for third in the BIG EAST standings with a 9-7 record in league play. The top four teams advance to the BIG EAST Tournament May 13-14 in Rosemont, Ill. DePaul and Villanova have clinched two of the four spots, while Butler and St. John's have the inside track on the remaining two spots as their 9-7 records are ahead of Creighton (7-8) and Seton Hall (7-9) leading into the final weekend.
