@ButlerSoftball Scores 9-1 Win Over Providence

Butler finished off its weekend series with Providence in convincing fashion, posting a 9-1 win in six innings on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis. The home crowd – including a number of young softball players in attendance for Youth Day -- went home happy as Butler took two of three in the series. The Bulldogs are now 21-14 on the season and 4-2 in BIG EAST play. PC is 13-17 (1-4).

Butler had 14 hits on the afternoon, including a 3-for-3 performance by freshman first baseman Kaitlin Doud. Maaggie MacBeth, Brandyce Sallee, Alyssa Lach, and Riley Carter each added two hits.
