INDIANAPOLIS – Something was wrong, even if those closest to Ty Groce could not detect it.
He is not demonstrative nor emotional. There were no obvious signs. The 18-year-old understood that at a time he should have been upbeat about life – he was a high school senior, a budding basketball star – all he felt was sorrow.
“It was kind of a random sadness that would occur,” Groce said.
